Stunning bay gelding, with a small star, small front coronet and a hind sock! Sire Abke, 1B Premium stallion (2003), recently won an international Puissance with Felix Ewald in Forst /Lausitz, by jumping over a 2.10 metre wall! The damsire, Coriander, can also be found in many famous jumping pedigrees including that of top stallion Calido I, who has 25+ approved sons, 21 State Premium Mares and 470 offspring in sport. Calido I is one of the most sought after jumper sires in the World. 3 offspring in the Beijing Olympics, where 2 of the 3 made it to final round competing for an individual medal. Calido is ranked 5th in the US for jumper sires.
Further in the pedigree is the stallion Landadel, who sired 66 + approved sons, 50 State Premium mares, as well as 92+ Advanced level jumpers.
Accolade received a foal Premium award from the Oldenburg Verband at his inspection! His movement is fanatastic, he uses his hindquarters very effectively and efficiently engages himself in all gaits. We are very proud of him, and he is now registered and microchipped with the Oldenburg Verband. Should mature 17H or taller.
Accolade has just started his under saddle career! He was easy to start with no issues. This lovely gelding has had limited free jumping experience and can trot a 4' fence easily! He is currently trotting over ground poles. Accolade stands just over 16.2H.
Summer of 2011 Accolade had a lower front tooth removed. It was a congenitally defective tooth that was growing at an improper angle. Dr. Travis Henry of Midwest Equine Services removed the tooth.
Accolade had OCD (hock) surgery in February 2012. He was started under saddle Spring 2012 and has had no soundness issues. Dr. Langer from Wisconsin Equine Clinic performed the surgery.
